IT'S TIME TO D-D-D-D-D-DUEL!! #throwbackthursday to the second prop that I ever made - a millenium rod from yu-gi-oh! We were dressing up as the egyptian team at a megagame so you know I had to go as yami ðŸĪŠðŸĪŠ It's kinda crazy how much I've improved since then - I'd love to find the original 3D file and see how terrible it is! I remember not sealing the prop too so over the long day of the megagame the paint and rod was slowly disintegrating in my hand 😂😂 it was pretty nasty but I'm glad my parents didn't throw it out when they moved houses! #aaaahhhhthememories INTRODUCING the first (un)official employee of The Props Lab: Apollo! Apollo is heading up the department of naps and mental health which he is already excelling at. His first day on the job has involved him hiding under my bed, napping in his cat cage and licking my face - tough stuff. I have no doubt he will make an excellent addition to the team (and I'm sorry for the future cat posts you will undoubtably have to endure 😅) #newfamily #neverdobusinesswithfamily MMMMMMMM delicious sweet cardboard. I'm having PTSD making some more prop books which involves a bunch of cardboard cuttin!! It's past the cathartic stage and now I'm convinced being hunched over a hot glue gun is how my family will find me when I'm dead 😐😐😐 I've upgraded the book design now though so that they will open and close ! (well thats the plan anyway) I've got a few secret projects on the go at the moment, so in the meantime I'll show you the least exciting thing I'm working on... a looot of excel ðŸĪĢ Do you love it or hate it??? I mean don't get me wrong... there's something soothing about those sweet sweet cells being so organised and full of numbers, but I totally get it's probably a bit weird!!! #noshame #organisationwillsetyoufree GORILLA GLUE IN HAIR - You've probably seen this trend popping up around the place where you put gorilla glue in your hair for MAXIMUM ADHESION! I just thought as someone who has used enough gorilla glue to fix most of my problems I thought I would offer some advice on how to get the most out of the glue. I AM IN LOVE with these Alclad metallic paints! They are sooo expensive but look how nice this shine is 😍 I think they are definitely going to be my go-to paint for metallics in the future. Plus it will encourage me to use my airbrush more because I avoid using it coz it scares me ðŸĪĢðŸĪĢ #soooshiny #newfavourite TFW it's so hot outside here in Australia that you don't even need the enclosure for printing in ABS ðŸ˜ĨðŸ˜Ģ The shed also gets reaaaally hot so I tried to spend a lot of time inside on the computer whilst dashing inside and outside 😂 Does someone who lives where it's snowing want to swap with me?? I'll show you what I'm printing soon - it's super cool! #wipwednesday #itsactuallythursdaybutyolo Part 2 of the Christmas-in-Feb scrolls I was asked to comission for a customer! These scrolls are made from EVA foam wrapped around some 3D printed dowells. It was a very good opportunity to practice my calligraphy skills (or lack thereof 😅😅) Santa is already hard at work for Christmas 2021 - particularly now that they've exited lockdown in the North Pole. Now that I think of it... is there an anti-Santa in the south pole? Reverse Santa that services the southern hemisphere and delivers Australian's poisonous snakes for christmas?? #evilsanta #southernsanta Did you make Santa's Nice List?? If not... sorry you may be naughty 😅😅 This is the first of two commissioned christmas scrolls that I'm making (post christmas). Things I've learned: 1. Don't use flexbond as a topcoat because it will stay sticky forever. 2. Choosing who gets to go on a nice list is a very difficult process 3.
